Previous Employment: Lead FCO Technician, BPX North Star Project
5/00-4/01  VECO, Anchorage, AK
Responsibilities: Pre-commission the NorthStar Facility. There are 3 Solar Mars 90 gas turbines as power generation and 2 GE LM2500 turbines driving high-pressure natural gas compressors.
Lead the FCO effort of the Nikiski Co-generation project on the startup of a GE Frame 6 with a 50 MW GE generator.

Previous Employment: Lead FCO Technician, ARCO Alpine Project
10/99-5/00  Alaska Petroleum Contractors, Kuparuk, AK
Responsibilities: Participate in the development and orchestration of the FCO plan for the Alpine project. Supervise approximately 10 FCO technicians to insure the proper operation of all equipment for the project. FCO "hands on" the one (1) PGT10 and two (2) Frame 5 gas turbines supplied by Nuovo Pignone with the GE Mark V control systems which were interconnected with a Moore DCS. This equipment is monitored continuously with the Bentley Nevada 3500 vibration system. These units are used in power generation with Brush Generators and in gas compression with 3 stage gas compressors supplied by Nuovo Pignone. The generators are controlled by GE Generator Protection and Control System packages and the compressors are using Compressor Controls Corporation Series 3 Plus Antisurge controllers.

Previous Employment: FCO Technician, ARCO Alpine Project
2/99-5/99  Bay Limited, Corpus Christi, TX
Responsibilities: Pre-commission the Nuovo Pignone supplied Frame 5 turbine and compressors with GE Mark V and CCC Series III Plus Antisurge controllers in Module C1 prior to shipping to North Slope staging area. Provide consultation during initial installation of all Nuovo Pignone equipment at the Fab site based on years of experience and recent pitfalls experienced during PGT 5 turbine and 3 stage series compressors installation at the Endicott Facility.

Previous Employment: Industrial Turbine / Instrument Technician
7/92-1/99  BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc.  Endicott Island Facility
Responsibilities: GE Mark IV for Nuovo Pignone Frame 1 gas fired turbine, Mark IV Plus for Nuovo Pignone Frame 5 gas fired split shaft turbine driving 3 stages of centrifugal compressors, vibration monitored with Bently Nevada 7200 Series. Turbine controls for the Ruston Tornado, which features the Rustronics Mark I. These units are single shaft in Power generation and two shafts on centrifugal pump drives.
New generation turbine controls from Nuovo Pignone, Souvimac System on Pignone PGT5 gas turbine with a complex 3 stage series compressor, enhanced with the Moore PLC based controls. Automated process control systems consisting of Allen-Bradley PLC-3 and PLC-5 interfaced with a Fisher ProVox Lcon system. Vibration monitored with Bently Nevada 3300 System. Pyrotronics and General Monitor Fire and Gas control panels, with a Dooley Tackabery Fine Water Mist system in the EOR module. Endicott Island is a self sufficient offshore oil production installation. Crude oil is extracted from the reservoir; processed to separate the water and gas which is then re-injected into the reservoir with additional amounts of seawater. The oil is metered and shipped to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. During my career at Endicott I have had the responsibilities of maintaining the process instrumentation and equipment from the wells through the shipping pipeline to delivery at Alyeska Pump Station 1.
